The College Media Association announced the finalists for its 2023 Pinnacle Awards.
In the category for schools with enrollments of more than 10,000, Student Niner Media is a finalist for:
- Best Newspaper Website, Niner Times
- Best Literary Magazine, Nova Literary Arts Magazine
- Best Literary Magazine Use of Theme, Nova Literary Arts Magazine
- Best Entertainment Spread, Midas magazine
- Best Special Section, Niner Times (Day of Remembrance 2023)
- Best Sports Feature, Bryson Foster (The Man Who Motivated Michael Jordan)
- Best Web Sports Section, Niner Times
The College Media Association is the nation’s largest organization representing student media outlets from across the country. The Pinnacle Awards recognize the best college media organizations and individual work, all produced by students. Winners will be announced Oct. 31 at the Associated Collegiate Press/College Media Association Fall National College Media Convention in Atlanta.
In addition, students working for Midas received the following nominations for the ACP Design of the Year Contest:
- Christa Wickman, Best Magazine Cover
- Micah Jordan, April Montgomery, Abbas Omotosho, Best Magazine Spread (Celestial)
- Tiana Cohen, Micah Jordan, April Montgomery, Best Magazine Spread (Cyclical)
Winners for the ACP contest will be announced Oct. 30 at the convention in Atlanta.
